Crochet Abbreviations

• puff = yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a loop, {yo, insert hook into same st, yo, and draw up a loop}
  three times, yo and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to close.
• sc = single crochet
• st = stitch
• sl st = slip stitch
• ch = chain

Baby Crochet Puff Stitch Pattern

• Round 1: Ch 2, 4 puffs in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st to top of first puff (4
  puffs, 8 st total)
• Round 2: Ch 2, 1 puff in next stitch, 1 puff in next ch space, repeat for a
  total of 8 puffs, sl st to top of first puff (8 puffs, 16 st total)
• Round 3: Ch 2, repeat round 2 but for a total of 16 puffs and 32 st. sl st to top of first puff.
• Round 4: Ch 2, puff in next st, *skip a st, puff in ch space, repeat from * around sl st to the top of first puff. (16 total puffs, 32 st)
• Round 5-10: Repeat round 4
• Round 11: Ch 1, Sc in every stitch around, sl st to top of first sc. (32
  st)
•  Finished Size 6 inch length and 16 inch circumference.

Child Crochet Puff Stitch Hat Pattern

• Round 1: Ch 2, 5 puffs in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to top of first puff (5 puffs, 10 st total)
• Round 2: Ch 2, 1 puff in next stitch around, 1 puff in next ch space, repeat for a total of 10 puffs, sl st to top of first puff (10 puffs, 20 st total)
• Round 3: Ch 2, repeat round 2 but for a total of 20 puffs and 40 st. slip stitch to top of first puff.
• Round 4: : Ch 2, puff in next st, skip a st, puff in ch space, skip a st. (20 total puffs, 40 st)
• Round 5-12 : Repeat round 4
• Round 13: Ch 1, sc in every st around (40 st), fasten off
• Finished size 7 inch length and 18.5 inch circumference.

Finishing

• fasten off, cut yarn and weave in loose ends throughout hats with yarn needle.
