Chunky Yarn Cowl Pattern Steps

Foundation: Chain 50 , in second chain from hook half double crochet, half double crochet in each chain across. Slip stitch to top of first hdc to form a circle (be careful not to twist)

Round 1: (working in the round now) Chain 1, half double crochet in next chain, continue half double crocheting in each chain around. Join with a slip stitch to top of half double crochet, not chain 1. (50 stitches)

Round 2: Chain 2, double crochet in the first stitch, double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to top of double crochet, not chain 2. (50 stitches)

Round 3: Chain 1, half double crochet in the first stitch, continue half double crocheting in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to top of half double crochet, not chain 1. (50 stitches)

Round 4: Repeat round 3

Round 5: Repeat round 2

Round 6: Repeat round 3

Round 7: Repeat round 3

Finishing: Fasten off, cut with scissors and weave in loose ends with the yarn needle!
