The Yarn That Is Perfect for This Crochet Hooded Cowl!
For this design I used Lion Brand Hometown Yarn in the color Aspen Tweed. This yarn is considered a super bulky and is amazingly soft to work with. If you have ever used Wool Ease Thick & Quick this is similar but much softer and it doesn’t have the wool in it!

I was so excited when I found this awesome pattern from Design Adventures on Pinterest because I absolutely love hooded scarfs! This particular pattern was written for a toddler, so I tweaked it a bit so it would fit an adult. I promise you will love how simple this scarf is to make and how quickly it works up!

Hooded Crochet Cowl Scarf
Skill Level: Easy
Materials
- Super Bulky Yarn 6 (I used 3 balls of Lion Brand Yarn Hometown in Aspen Tweed)
- Crochet Hook 9MM
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Hooded Crochet Cowl Scarf Pattern
- Chain 45
- Follow this pattern until round 6
- Round 6: Ch 2. DC in each of the next 30 st.
- Round 7 – 16 until the end Follow the original
- Feel free to add more rows after round 16 if you would like your hood bigger.
Weave in loose ends with yarn needle to finish!
The finished dimensions are approximately a 17 inch length & 26 inch circumference which fits most adult to teen women.
