Any Color Combination Will Look Great With This Blanket
The colors that I made this blanket with are perfect for a baby boy or girl! Don’t you agree? You are welcome to switch up the colors and make it in any color combination you can imagine for this blanket!
I made a similar chevron baby blanket in yellow & white as well! I can’t wait to see what color combinations everyone uses for their blankets.
Easy Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern
I used a size J crochet hook, and I highly recommend Boye crochet hooks since I have found them to be the easiest to work with during this pattern.
The great thing about this project is that it only takes less than one skein of yarn of each color to make the perfect size baby blanket!
In the pattern notes section, I listed out all the materials needed, including the exact colors I used, so your crochet blanket will be precisely the same!

I’d like to make a larger version of this for the crib, versus the car. What is the stitch multiple?
Hi Sandra,
To make a bigger blanket, you will need to chain a multiple of 14 +3. There are more details on the stitch count in the notes portion of the pattern.

I am having a hard time figuring out the foundation row. Could you please explain it more or do you have a video I could use for reference?
Hi Angee,
I’d be happy to help what part of the Foundation Row did you need help with?
Krista
Hi Krista
I am going to make a baby blanket using your pattern and would like to do a practice swatch first. If I were to chain 17 would that be enough to give me a pattern repeat or would I have to do 31 ?
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
I would do the ch 31 for the practice swatch. 🙂
I love this – thank you for the cool pattern. If you want to increase the width larger than 17 inches – how many stitches would you add on? I can’t tell what the repeat would be…. TIA!!
Hi! I wrote this so long ago I not quite sure! I will have to take a peek at it and figure it out! Ill post here when I do! (Hopefully today!)
