The Yarn That’s Great for This Crocheted Headband
This simple crocheted headband is worked up with worsted weight yarn which can be found at almost any craft store or online at Amazon if you prefer online shopping!
I would suggest using something like cotton yarn, so it can be washed if needed. If you prefer acrylic yarn, then I would use Red Heart Soft or Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice or Caron Simply Soft.

Fall Crochet Headband Pattern
Skill Level: Easy
- Caron Simply Soft or any Medium Weight (4) Yarn
- Yarn needle
- Size H Crochet Hook
- Written in Standard US Terms
- Change size by working in an even number
The Pattern Steps
ROW 1 : Single Crochet in 2nd Chain from hook. Skip a stitch, 3 Double Crochets in next stitch, *skip a stitch. Single Crochet in next stitch, skip a stitch, 3 Double Crochets in next stitch. Repeat from * across, end with a Single Crochet, turn.
ROW 2: Chain 3, Dc in next stitch, *skip a stitch, Single Crochet in the next stitch, Skip a stitch, 3 Double Crochets in next stitch. Repeat from * Across, end with a Double Crochet, turn.
ROW 3: Chain 1, Single Crochet in same stitch, *skip next stitch, 3 Double Crochets in next St (this would be the single crochet stitch from the row before), skip a stitch, Single Crochet in next stitch. Repeat from * across.
ROW 4: Repeat ROW 2
ROW 5: Repeat ROW 3, and fasten off, weave in loose ends with yarn needle.
Join a new piece of yarn with Slip Stitch along the short side in the center of Band you just finished making
2 Single Crochets along side,Turn, Chain 1 for 15 times
Single Crochet 2 TOGETHER and Chain desired amount (I did 15), tie off (this will be the piece you will use to tie your headband together when you wear it!!)
Repeat instructions for 2nd Piece along other short side of headband
Weave in loose ends throughout the headband with a yarn needle.
