I have wanted to design something for a while now with a puff stitch, so I was happy when inspiration hit me for this crochet infinity scarf. Enjoy.

The Yarn
For this cowl, I decided to use one of my favorite yarn, Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice. It happens to be a worsted weight fiber that is easy to work with and is available in various beautiful colors. I will link up a few of my go-to colors below for your convenience.
Criss Cross Puff Crochet Scarf
Skill Level: Easy
Materials
- 6 mm Size J crochet hook
- Two balls of Vanna’s Choice Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in linen or any worsted weight four weight yarn
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- yo = yarn over
- puff = yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a loop, {yo, insert hook into same st, yo, and draw up a loop} three times, yo and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to close.
Notes
- The slip stitch in each round does not count as a stitch (skip it)
- Written in Standard US Terms.
- Gauge = 4 puffs = 4″ 4 crisscrosses = 4″
- Finished size is approximately a 50″ circumference and 6″ width.

The Puff Scarf Crochet Pattern Steps
To Start: ch 108, join with sl st to first ch to form a ring making sure not twist
Round 1: ch 2, * puff in next st, skip a st, repeat from * around for a total of 54 puffs ending with skip st. sl st to top of first puff (not the ch 2)
Round 2: ch 2, puff in next ch space, *skip a ch, puff in next ch space(between 2 puffs), repeat from * around ending with a skipped ch. sl st to top of first puff (not the ch 2)
Round 3: ch 2, * sk 1 ch space and dc in the ch above the puff, go back to the ch space you skipped and dc in that one now (one criss-cross completed) repeat from * around, slip stitch to top of the first dc in round (not the ch 2) (see pictures below for help)
Round 4: repeat round 2
Round 5: repeat round 2
Round 6: repeat round 3
Round 7: repeat round 2
Round 8: repeat round 3
Round 9: repeat round 2
Round 10: repeat round 2
Finishing: fasten off the end and weave in loose ends with a yarn needle.
