Make a Simple Crochet Cowl Today
When I was first starting out in my crochet journey, “simple” was the type of crochet pattern I was looking for.
This marbled dusk cowl is it! It is the perfect beginner crochet pattern because it whips up fast and uses only simple beginner crochet stitches.
What You’ll Need to Make a Cowl
All you need to make this easy cowl is knowledge of a few simple crochet stitches, yarn & a crochet hook!
Yarn
This crochet cowl used just a little less than one skein of Loops & Threads Charisma Marble (a bulky six weight yarn) which can be found at Michael’s craft stores. It’s pretty, right?
It was a yarn I have never seen before, but I was instantly drawn to the bulky soft texture which I knew would make it perfect for staying warm! I chose a vibrant color called dusk that has pretty shades of purple & white mixed throughout it.
Stitches
You will also need to know how to half double crochet to make this cowl. Learn more about this basic crochet stitch below.

I received 8 pages of info and no free cowl pattern. Actually I am looking for free patterns for childrens hats that can be made and sent to children who need them in this country as well as other countries. I know they used to be available but have not been able to get them now. Would love it if you could let me know how to find them.
Hi Peggie,
At the top of the pattern there is a skip to pattern button that will take you directly to the free pattern if you’d prefer not to read through the extra information. Happy Crocheting!
