Rose Lace Headband

This lightweight, lace-textured headband is a fast and delightful summer accessory, exquisitely crafted in fine 4-ply mercerised cotton like King Cole Giza and worked on a 4 mm hook.

It begins with a flexible foundation single crochet edge and continues into six rows of breezy lace panels, showcasing elegant shell and chain-space stitches that create airy texture.

To ensure a secure and comfortable fit, the design finishes with small triangular sections at each end—worked in single crochet and featuring decreases—so the band sits neatly behind the ears.

Long crocheted ties extend from the triangular ends, allowing for an adjustable, tie-back style. The finished headband measures about 5 cm wide and 39 cm long after blocking.

Perfect for messy hair days or adding a subtle crochet detail to everyday outfits, this pattern balances simplicity and delicate design—ideal for confident beginners looking to explore lace techniques without complexity.

A comprehensive written pattern and video tutorial make it accessible, and the lace motif opens beautifully with blocking.
